Arnold "Lucky" Salsbury, Jr.
2/15/1941 -2/2/2010



Arnold "Lucky" Salsbury Jr. died at his Happy Valley home on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at 6:26 PM surrounded by his loving family.



With the unwavering support of his family, Lucky waged a 2.5 year battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Brother and Sister-in-Law Langdon and Linda Nevens of Carpinteria, Dr. Edward Garon of UCLA Medical Center and Dr. Jed Freeman of Redding were instrumental in his amazing success.



Lucky was a cement mixer operator and truck mechanic with Redding Transit Mix, Mathews Ready-Mix, Motor Cargo and retired from UPS Freight. He was a former member of the Redding Moose Lodge and Anderson Moose Lodge.



Lucky is survived by his devoted wife Barbara, sister Anita "Roly" Summit of Anderson, brother Roy "Butch" Salsbury and sister Joanne Hawkins of Texas, children Mike of Sacramento, Jennie Leigh of Washington, their mother Jenny Lambert of Redding, two granddaughters and two great-granddaughters.



Lucky was a dedicated fan of NASCAR and enjoyed restoring old cars. He loved animals, including their mob of mostly-rescued cats and his devoted Border Collie, Alex.

He will be missed by all that knew him.



A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
